Pingfatzu is an esoteric Philosophy that incorporates two spheres: the Art — or the Praxis (process) — and the Doctrine.

The Art — or the Praxis (process)

The Art of the Pingfatzu have been considered as a mental Martial Art that waives the physical body moving in its techniques of attack and defense. Instead, it is used the projection of the astral body, the "kama rupa" (or " kamarupa") in the Hinduism, and weapons called " kamics" or, on better terms, "kamic-manasics". The astral body projected with their weapons in Pingfatzu is called body of combat.

The Art of the Pingfatzu, anyway, contains more than the projectiology applied to the combat that have been understood as a Martial Art. It includes also the dark magic based on the concepts of allocation of external forces and, as species of the genus, the parasitism of egregores.

The forging of weapons in Pingfatzu is part of the Art, but depends, primarily, of the depth study of the substances the composes such weapons, cause knowledge and transcendental substance are one single and same thing: fully known, the substance called " Kala Negro" (“ Black Kala”), for instance, can be already used to constitute one sword made of it. Thus, to constitute " kamic-manasic" weapons, mentalizing them into the astral plane one must to consult the Doctrine of the Pingfatzu.

The Doctrine

The Doctrine of the Pingfatzu is in perennial evolution and mutation, investigating many esoteric sources and secrets and assimilating from them all what can pragmatically be incorporated, modified e adapted, or more efficiently fought.

The doctrinaire pragmatism of the Pingfatzu drifts from the ancestral Chinese art of war ("ping-fa"), which was set by masters (in singular "tzu"), such as Sun Tzu and Sun Pin, from where emerges the etymology of the term.

There are two axioms related in Pingfatzu saying: "Ping-Fa is the art of the war and the peace; is the art of the equilibrium in the plane of the agony [from the Greek "ágon": combat] between the opposites, between yin and yang, between be and not-be. Tzu is the Master, i.e., the Mind self-conscious, gotten free and in full harmonization”.

We accepted as good and incorporated to the Doctrine, by the status of incorporated axioms, for instance, four of the Eleven Satanic Rules of the Earth:

3. When in another’s lair, show him respect or else do not go there. 5. Do not make sexual advances unless you are given the mating signal. 6. Do not take that which does not belong to you unless it is a burden to the other person and he cries out to be relieved. 11. When walking in open territory, bother no one. If someone bothers you, ask him to stop. If he does not stop, destroy him.”

But, let’s consider apart the fourth rule of LaVeyan Satanism, that wasn’t integrally accepted for us: “4. If a guest in your lair annoys you, treat him cruelly and without mercy”. One could say that a Rottweiler dog would do the same, and also that it is a behavior compromised with the desire and not with the Pure Will. Well, the Pure Will is beyond the physical nature, but the reason can accept natural behaviors as good for surviving. Allow the individuality to continue alive is for sure a demand of the Pure Will. So, about this principle of Satanism in question, we do not take it as rule for us: we can, from our Pure Will, invite the annoying guests to go away peacefully before thinking about to destroy them. To elide the Opponent, emphasizing, does not mean to destroy him necessarily, but just make Him stop or disappear as an Opponent, i.e., as a real risk or obstacle to our happiness and, of course, surviving. The insignificant opponent is a fake obstacle that we elide just ignoring, as soon as identified like non-dangerous.

If a guest in your lair becomes annoying, elide Him conveniently”, that is how we changed the fourth rule of the Laveyanism. The intention of being cruel is a passion that we do not accept as good for us too.

That is how the Doctrine walks: the Pure Will moves the reason to collect from experience and other disciplines good principles to carry for so long as we do not find better principles to substitute those provisionally accepted.

By now, the Nine Principles are the only unchangeable part of Pingfatzu and the Main Axioms shall not be much changed too, but, in the future, who knows, even this proto-rule of the Discipline can be changed.

Principles and Axioms

One of the most important and holly pillars for those who practice the Art are the Nine Basic Principles of Pingfatzu. After those, come the Main Axioms and the minor axioms.

The Nine Basic Principles of Pingfatzu.

1 – Never hate your Opponent, He is part of yourself: never hate yourself.

2 – Never be defeated: the defeat is a state entirely subjective, never incorporate it.

3 - The Opponent exists for been elided; develop a holly relationship of respect and full objectivity with Him and, than, eliminate Him sufficiently.

4 - Never hesitate: hesitation is death (principle shown by the Mind of the Sword).

5 - Never act or react unconsciously.

6 – Happiness is the final objective; personalize any kind of obstacle to your happiness and, then, eliminate Him as an Opponent.

7 – The world is Will and Representation ( Schopenhauer); your Pure Will is the God in You, pragmatize It consciously.

8 - Never confuse the Pure Will with the whore desire: thus the Wisdom that truly gods.

9 - Never constitute insignificant opponents, those are not real obstacles to your happiness, so they are fake opponents

Bartolomeus Carpella compiled the Nine Principles in contact with the Entity called by him simply Spirit of the War.

The Spirit of the War, as Carpella used to explain, is a crystallization of human thoughts and feelings since a very long time.

It was called Ares, once, by the Greeks; Marte, by the Romans, and had many other names through History. The humanity created Him by the same way that created God and Satan, and all of Them are pulsing, living and thinking right now, in the astral plane, because of us. Some of these astral forms are wise; some others are just cruel and destructive.

Dark magic — that is also used in Pingfatzu — is just about finding a way to connect somebody with destructive astral forms and egregores, generally those created with the own contribution, faith and fear, of the one who will be the target in magic operation.

That is why we, from Pingfatzu, have faith in nothing but our own spirits and strength, and operate nothing but the capabilities of ourselves individually. We also avoid the fear, cause one cannot fear himself and there is no external Opponent.

If you really do not fear an astral form, if you not even believe in it and, this way, keep it external, nobody will ever be able to use such form against you.

There is a Creator ( Creator deity) above the man; It is not good or bad, It is certainly beyond of the duality and the agony between the opposites (yin and yang, be and not-be, good and bad, etc.). It can be called God, but It is not the same God that eventually cares about your sins and blesses your house. The only thing we can know about the Creator is that It created us, so there is no more than one reasonable mantra (or prayer) we can have for It except this: “Thank God for being alive” or “Thank You for the life itself”. If someone talks to God something essentially different from this mantra, he is talking to another God, one that is son of the duality and who is, in fact, an astral form.

"In everything give thank for this is the will of the Creator (or God)" is a holy incorporated Axiom, that can be considered a Main Axiom, we have learned from Christianity; but we thank for being alive that is the main gift, and not for the incidental facts. It is no fair, e.g., to be sad if one loved person dies when we have another loved person still alive and we are alive too, each one of us. There is no incidental fact that could be more important than being alive, so we must be grateful all the time.

That is a fundamental step to obtain the stoic " apatheia", that conducts to the "ataraxia" necessary for the perfect practice of the Art.

Another Main Axiom says: “I AM everything that I love, and everything that abides me and I don’t love is my Opponent”.

The “I AM” is the Will, the Pure Will (called for some " Sat-sankalpa") beyond the pure reason. Pure Will I AM, but not the Will son. The Will son is the whore desire, a fake impure and “kamic” degenerate kind of will. In the short story “ William Wilson”, the north-american writer and thinker Edgar Allan Poe discussed this theme, including, very clearly, in a really important metaphorization, important enough to be mentioned here, but his own country never understood this man very well. Till today, there are people analyzing “William Wilson” as a simple story about “the double” (“ Doppelgänger”).

The Pure Will concept is approximate to the True Will one, whereupon Aleister Crowley build the Liber AL vel Legis and the Thelema system. The first Master used the term Thelema very frequently, and even the new head of the Doctrine calls Pure Will Thelema in his texts.

Who can practice the Art

There is no conflict between the system of Alister Crowley and ours, and that’s why we have so many thelemites with us. But we also have many Satanists and Christians, Catholics and even some Pentecostals, among others, interested in the Martial Art section of Pingfatzu specifically.

Anyone can practice the Art of Pingfatzu, but for to become a master in the Art, is necessary to understand the difference between the Pure Will as a substance and the will like an impulse immersed into the physical nature (or " Physis") composed by energy and material, which are the same thing, as everybody knows, nowadays, since Einstein.

Crowley’s system is largely different from ours in terms of practice: it uses the luxuriance as a way to activate sexual energy (" kundalini energy") in order to increase power. We don’t use energy in our movements, but just the mind: the Pure Reason full of the Pure Will.

The Mind (that is Transcendental) is made of the Will, the Pure Will, of course, and the Pure Reason; the Will moves the Reason that lovingly touching the external Absolute (that is Transcendent), gets pregnant of It and gives light to the material representations, or the world, i.e., — the “ Physis”.

There is no True Will inside of the " Physis": this one would be exactly the desire, which is not the Pure Will, but his son and enemy: the physical body militates against the spirit (or the mind). Also, there is no gods or deities made of energy (and sexual hormones), except the astral forms crystallized by the men’s thoughts and feelings.

The master in Pingfatzu knows that he is above these gods and deities, so he needs not to evoke them for fighting.

Carpella made mental contact with the Spirit of the War to know what the Entity knows, what He has to teach after so many centuries contemplating the men’s fate and skills in battlefields. This was a meditative practice, in which the Master used his mental body to reach the Entity and learn from Him (the Spirit). The Master learned from the Entity reasonable concerns and strategies, but never evoked the Spirit of the War to help him: we never evoke entities, using only our own strength and capabilities for fighting the Opponent.

Thelemites have many complex rituals to reach the capabilities of a Magus that we, from the Doctrine of Pingfatzu, of course, do not have. But, more basically, in terms of practice, the Thelemites put the energy in the exact place we put the reason. That is not a problem when they are doing the Pingfatzu's movements of attack. Could be a problem and a risk in relation to their psychic self-defense / psychological defense, but we teach some simple ways to get less vulnerable.

In the spiritualism there are a lot of worlds, creatures, planets and planes with different levels of density. This can be reasonably accepted as possible, and there are, in fact, many clues pointing to the verisimilitude of such a belief.

But we have nothing to do with this contested issue when we are teaching or practicing the Art. It is just not our business, simple like that.

Because, when one meditates and goes as high as must goes, he will find, like “inside” of himself, only the Pure Will Itself and the Pure Reason's possibilities, and this is the internal, or transcendental substance. In front of him, will be the external, or transcendent substance, the Absolute, i.e., the — Creator Itself, that can be called God. At this position (not really a place, but a position), one will be completely invulnerable.

There bellow, will be the “ Physis”, all the worlds, all the planets, all the creatures, gods and deities, all the material cities, the energies, the hormones, the dualities, the agony between the opposites, the magic, the cities made of material and everything else.

Amplifying the pragmatic reason, we will fight better and that is all. We hit with the astral body and “kamic” weapons, but we fight with the Will, that, sometimes, we call Thelema, and the pragmatic reason.

Organizers

The main responsible for the organization of the Pingfatzu are Bartolomeus Carpella, considered the Founder and first grand Master, and Igor Buys, his student and successor chosen for himself to, including, inherit the nick of "Philosopher Warlock" ("Bruxo Filósofo").

Carpella was born in Italy and never wrote anything about Pingfatzu. His classes usually happened in a place that we began to call “the Academy”. He also gave private lessons in the houses of some students. The Master was a very discreet man, almost invisible for the world outside of his "body of war", i.e., his friends and close relatives, so we will keep his personal history properly non-exposed.

After the Founder’s death, in 2004, there was a division in the Academy, and even a kind of “invisible fight”; so, two years later, in 2006, we decided that will not be necessary to exist any other kind of organization around Pingfatzu: the concept of body of war would be enough for establishing a natural brotherhood.
