The Guild: Season 3 is the third season of the award-winning online sitcom, The Guild. Beginning August 25, 2009, it revolves around the Knights of Good attempting to come together again after the events of Season 2, dispite being torn apart by several factors, primary among them being the efforts of the Axis of Anarchy. Season 3 picks up a couple of days after Season 2, as Codex refers to the party as being "the other night."

Synopsis

Episode 1: Expansion Time

  • Length: 5:29
  • Release Date: August 25, 2009

Season three begins with Codex explaining that she's been able to recover from the events of the party through ice cream and the excitement that the game's expansion pack is coming out. At GameStop, the Knights of Good have secured the front spot, thanks to Vork camping for two days. Codex is trying to explain the new features in the expansion, but all the guild members are preoccupied with other matters: Vork is reminded of his failure as a guild leader whenever he sees Clara (who doesn't remember that she spent an entire weekend killing Vork over and over until she's reminded), Tink has hired a homeless person to stand in for her since she can't be around Bladezz, Bladezz has gotten a job at Cheesy Beards to pay off the $4,000 debt he's in from buying so much stuff for Tink, and Zaboo and Riley are constantly making out.

Episode 2: Anarchy!

  • Length: 8:08
  • Release Date: September 8, 2009

Eventually a group of people cut in front of the guild, revealing themselves to be another (tougher looking) guild. The name of the guild is the Axis of Anarchy, and they are revealed to be the top guild on the server. Vork attempts to convince the leader of Axis of Anarchy that they are breaking the rules, but his efforts only result in the Knights of Good being sent to the back of the line. Overcome with guilt of his failure, he resigns as guild leader. To succeed his position, the other members nominate themselves, except for Zaboo, who nominates Codex. Codex ends up voting for herself and becomes the new leader of Knights of Good. Displeased, Tink leaves the Knights of Good and joins the Axis of Anarchy.

Episode 3: Player Down

  • Length: 5:44
  • Release Date: September 15, 2009

While the remaining members install their expansion packs, Codex is unsure of how to unite the guild and is reluctant to talk to Tink. Vork suddenly phones Codex and informs her that he has decided to go on the road and take an occasional break from the game. With two members now gone, the rest of the guild begins to fall apart: Riley is forcing Zaboo to choose between her or the game, Clara's husband's is frustrated with Clara's distance from the family after finding a digital photo of her kissing Wade at the party, and Bladezz becomes occupied with getting his sister to leave his room.

Episode 4: Get It Back!

  • Length: 7:22
  • Release Date: September 22, 2009

Clara's husband is on the verge of moving out, telling Clara that she'll have to cut back on the game for him to stay. Zaboo arrives at Codex's to take refuge from Riley. After some advice from Vork, who's still on the road stealing wifi when he can, Codex decides log onto Axis of Anarchy's chat channel to speak to Tink. Tink has no interest in leaving Axis of Anarchy, and Fawkes kicks Codex out of the channel. Bladezz suddenly logs on revealing that someone has created a website dedicated to his secret modeling photos, and distributed the address to his entire high school. Codex and Zaboo realize it was Axis of Anarchy.

Episode 5: Application'd

  • Length: 5:49
  • Release Date: September 29, 2009

Codex decides to try and find a replacement for Tink. However, all of the video responders are less than positive (or sane). Zaboo arrives and asks Codex's advice on what to do about Riley's aggressiveness. Clara, hiding in her closet, decides that she can kill two birds with one stone, and deems her husband the new member, so that they can spend more time together. Riley arrives and demands to know why Zaboo keeps running away. Discovering that there's an opening in the guild, Riley suggests herself, but Codex quickly accepts Clara's husband (aka Mr. Wiggly) into the guild.

Episode 6: Newbtastic

  • Length: 7:46
  • Release Date: October 6, 2009

The Knights of Good (except for Clara) are becoming frustrated with Mr. Wiggly's inability to master the game. After sending Wiggly off to read some game guides, the guild discusses what to do about him. Valkerie, from the Axis of Anarchy, then logs into their chat channel, bragging about his work on FinnSmulders.com [1], and warning Bladezz that the worst is yet to come. Bladezz is unconcerned, as he believes he can't get any lower. Vork is chased off his current wifi hotspot (a school) by a teacher who believes that he is taping the children. Codex goes over to Riley's to get Tink's contact info from Zaboo. Riley challenges Codex to some Xbox, but after a short period the game's fast-paced, first person shooter (FPS) style makes Codex motion sick. Riley begins coming on to Codex until Zaboo wakes up in the closet (punishment from Riley) and reveals he got a text from Bladezz saying that something illegal was planted in his locker, and he now faces possible jail time.

Episode 7: Coping and Stuff

  • Length: 6:46
  • Release Date: October 13, 2009

It's revealed that Venom planted 5 pairs of nunchaku, a pink pack of women's razors, and a kitchen blowtorch in Bladezz's locker. Meanwhile, Mr. Wiggly is still having trouble learning the game. Vork warns that if nothing is done about Wiggly, the guild will drop to the level of casual players. Unwilling to drop so low, Bladezz agrees to go over to Clara's to teach Wiggly how to play (charging $25 an hour). Codex logs into Axis of Anarchy's chat channel to try and ask them to leave Bladezz alone, but all she learns before being kicked out and blocked is that Venom has arranged to substitute teach at Bladezz's school. Zaboo comes over (wearing a dog collar) with Tink's contact info, and also tells Codex that Riley wants to have a threesome with her. Codex refuses, and Zaboo leaves. Bladezz arrives home to find a police officer at his house, who's revealed to be Bruiser, telling Bladezz that he had sex with his mom before leaving.

Episode 8: +10 to Bravery

  • Length: 7:20
  • Release Date: October 20, 2009

Bladezz is traumatized over Bruiser sleeping with his mother, and the guild is trying to help him get over it, but they aren't helping very much. Codex reveals that she set up a chat time with Fawkes to attempt to smooth things over. Vork is chased off another wifi hotspot (a woman's driveway) after a failed attempt at explaining his "soul search." Codex and Fawkes have their chat, and Codex asks Fawkes to lay off. Fawkes, however, attempts to confuse Codex by implying that, deep down, she has feelings for him. However, Codex resists, and states that she can fight just as well as him. Fawkes warns Codex that she's now made herself the target of the Axis of Anarchy, and logs off. Using the info Zaboo found, Codex tracks down Tink at a basketball court. Tink really doesn't care what Axis of Anarchy is doing, claiming that Bladezz deserves whatever happens to him. She then takes advantage of Codex's fear of being outside by telling her that her face is starting to burn, causing Codex to run off. Meanwhile, Zaboo has taken Riley to a park to attempt to kindle some romance, but Riley has brought along a paintball gun, and after shooting Zaboo a couple times, gives him a 45 second (not really) head start before she starts gunning him down.

Episode 9: Wit's End

  • Length: 8:05
  • Release Date: November 3, 2009

Codex puts out a call to arms against Axis of Anarchy on the game's forums, but her efforts only result in the Axis of Anarchy placing bounties on the Knights of Good. While trying to figure out how they're being found so easily, it's revealed that Mr. Wiggly has been bribed and tricked by Kwan to give away the Knights' locations, though Mr. Wiggly believes people were just being nice to him. Codex kicks Mr. Wiggly out of the guild, and as per their agreement, Clara must leave also. Vork's criticism of Codex's leadership breaks her patience, and she yells at him. Dispirited, Vork leaves. Bladezz decides that there's better things to do in real life, and also leaves. While Codex is falling into depression, Dena (who is at her house practicing her bass), quotes a passage from The Art of War, telling her that since the Anarchists went after her weakest member, she should go after theirs. Codex narrows it down to Valkerie. Codex and Zaboo find Valkerie at his job, and threaten to reveal to his boss that he spends all his time at work gaming. However, Zaboo begins to lose control, empowered by the control he has over Valkerie. He deletes all of Valkerie's gear, forcing Valkerie to reveal that the Anarchists are having a LAN party at a coffee shop the next day.

Episode 10: The Return!

  • Length: 6:53
  • Release Date: November 10, 2009

Vork returns from his soul search and takes back leadership of the Knights of Good from Codex. Deciding that it's time to take the fight to the Axis of Anarchy, Vork and Codex set out to gather the guild. Zaboo is disheartened from his loss of control during the confrontation with Valkerie (playing a child's game to try and sedate his temper), but after some convincing from Vork and Codex, chooses to join them. Clara is clearly angered at having to spend time with her family and children, and not being allowed to game. The guild shows up, and though Clara tries to resist going with them, she ends up joining them, leaving a note for her husband. Bladezz was preparing to go underground at a polo club in Argentina, but is picked up by the guild. Reunited, the guild arrives at the internet cafe and prepares to face the Axis of Anarchy.

Episode 11: Battle Royale

  • Length: 7:57
  • Release Date: November 17, 2009

Vork and Fawkes decide on a battle royal. As the battle begins, Mr. Wiggly arrives and begins arguing with Clara. She accuses him of being boring and predictable, and to prove her wrong, he takes over her character and kills Kwan. One by one, the Anarchists fall. Tink kills Bladezz, but his lack of a hurt reaction (or any reaction for that matter) makes the victory unsatisfying for her. Eventually, it comes down to Codex and Zaboo versus Fawkes and Tink. However, Riley arrives angered at Zaboo, leaving only Codex to take on Fawkes and Tink.
