Chetan Chaudhary (born 8 July 1996) is an Indian politician and member of the Student Organisation of India, has been elected as the President of the Panjab University Campus Students Council ( PUCSC) in 2019. [2]
He secured 2,792 votes, enabling his party to win the top post. The presidential post was won by the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) student wing candidate. [3]
Born on 8 July 1996 and raised in Nawanshahr, India. Chetan, who completed his BTech in biotechnology from the University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET) this year, had to join the Urdu department to contest the elections after failing to secure admission to the MTech course. [4]Although his family originally hailed from Nawanshahr, his parents run a transport business in Chandigarh. [5] [6]
