Harishnagar [1] is a small village of Nadia district, West_Bengal, India. which is located between Banpur and Gede railway station and the railway track is going through the Harishnagar_village and there is a halt on the east of the Harishnagar village known as " Harishnagar_halt" or " Harishnagar_railway_station" and thereafter the India between Bangladesh border is located about 700 metres away from the Harishnagar halt [2]. On the West side of this village there is a big lake known as " Charatalar_Bill [3]" and On the north of Harishnagar,Gede [4] village is located along and On the south of Harishnagar, Raghunandanpur village is located along.

At this village has two schools,one railway station,one playground and a Temple.

Every year's in the end of the march or at the beginning of the may The Harishnagar villagers organizes a big fair at this place for three days, It's called Sati_Mayer_Mela [5] and In those three days during the every single night the Concert of Baul [6]Gan(folk song) goes on until the early morning. Even Every night more than 5,000 peoples visits from far away to enjoy the concert.
