Loyalakpa ( Meitei: ꯂꯣꯌꯥꯂꯥꯛꯄ, romanized: /lo-yā-lāk-pa/), also known as Loiyalakpa ( Meitei: ꯂꯣꯏꯌꯥꯂꯥꯛꯄ, romanized: /loi-yā-lāk-pa/, lit.'lord of the countryside') [a] or Tolongkhomba ( Meitei: ꯇꯣꯂꯣꯡꯈꯣꯝꯕ) or Tolonkhomba ( Meitei: ꯇꯣꯂꯣꯟꯈꯣꯝꯕ), is a deity in Meitei mythology and religion of ancient Kangleipak (early Manipur). He is the guardian of the western direction, among the Maikei Ngaakpa Lai ( Meitei for ' Meitei guardians of the directions'). Born as the only son of god Marjing, he was adopted by god Koupalu ( Koubru) and goddess Kounu. He was married to goddess Thoudu Nungthel Leima ( Meitei: ꯊꯧꯗꯨ ꯅꯨꯡꯊꯦꯜ ꯂꯩꯃ), the adopted daughter of his foster parents. Loyalakpa ( Meitei: ꯂꯣꯌꯥꯂꯥꯛꯄ) is known for having a wrestling match with god Khoriphaba ( Meitei: ꯈꯣꯔꯤꯐꯥꯕ), once in an occasion of a Lai Haraoba ( Meitei for 'merrymaking festival of the gods').
