Hi, my name is GreenManedLion. I have been engaged in a project writing a book on the history, circumstances, and conditions of over 165 malls in the northeastern United States. I have been using Wikipedia as a source, primarily as a waypoint to go off in search of other information. As I find better data than is found on Wikipedia I have been periodically improving articles. I intend for this process to continue, as there is a lot of completely inaccurate information on the subject, in direct conflict with other, more accurate research I have turned up.
For the purposes of my project, a mall is defined as a enclosed structure anchored by one or more tenants substantially larger than others providing a specific draw, without being inherently discount focused (e.g. an outlet center), with a focus on retail, or a still enclosed and publicly accessible structure that once met that definition at some point in the past.
