Luis Gerardo Carvajal Fernández es un ingeniero mecatrónico y especialista en sostenibilidad mexicano. Actualmente, trabaja en Siemens Energy como Especialista en Operaciones de Sostenibilidad y Analista de Venture Building para México, Centroamérica y el Caribe. [1] Es conocido por su trabajo en sostenibilidad y su participación en diversas iniciativas ambientales y tecnológicas. [2]
Luis Gerardo Carvajal Fernández se formó como Ingeniero Mecatrónico en la Universidad de las Américas Puebla (UDLAP). Durante su tiempo en la universidad, se destacó como presidente estudiantil del Consejo Directivo de Ingeniería Mecatrónica y fue receptor de la beca Emerging Leaders in the Americas Program (ELAP) otorgada por el gobierno canadiense.
Después de completar sus estudios, Carvajal Fernández se unió a Siemens Energy, donde actualmente desempeña un rol en la integración de prácticas sostenibles y el desarrollo de nuevos negocios. Además de su trabajo en Siemens Energy, ha sido mentor de startups en Newchip Accelerator y Techstars, y ha colaborado como subdirector de STEAM y coordinador de robótica en el Centro UNESCO para la Paz.
Luis Gerardo también es cofundador de un emprendimiento de hidrógeno verde dentro de Siemens Energy y uno de los cofundadores del Hub de Finanzas Sostenibles de México. Participó en el programa Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative (YLAI) del U.S. Department of State. [3]
Luis Gerardo Carvajal Fernández ha sido orador en múltiples eventos internacionales, incluyendo TEDx, donde habló sobre la creación de vida a partir del caos, así como la relación entre el TDAH y la eco-ansiedad. [4] Es miembro del programa nacional de liderazgo Kybernus y ha representado a la juventud mexicana en la segunda conferencia de Evidencia Científica y Políticas Públicas de UNICEF.
En 2020, fue entrenado como líder climático por Climate Reality Leadership Corps, bajo la guía del premio Nobel de la Paz y ex-vicepresidente de Estados Unidos, Al Gore. [2]
