Samarth Pratishthan ( Devanagari: समर्थ प्रतिष्ठान, स्थापना २ ऑक्टोबर १९९९) The aim is to communicate to do a good cultural, social activities and make a great Pathak with discipline and creativity.
Through the survey few guys found that in Pune most of the young boys, girls and students linger in the corners of Chowk or waste their time in hotels, katta, watching TV shows or wondering here and there. Due to this, their hidden talent is being wasted. This attitude is always seen during Ganesh festival. Some young men came together. They watched the contrasting scene in the procession of Lord Ganesha. On the one hand, there were indiscipline dancing mob and on other hand there were teams of disciplined young bloods. These young men felt restless. They felt something should be done. These young men started discussions on the issue in front of statue of "Jijamata" in Lalmahal every evening. These discussions and debates gave direction to some constructive work. It was the birth of "Samarth Pratishthan" [1] and the day was 2 October 1999.
In the beginning they performed in Navaratri as a small miravnuk with five/six dhols and two tashas. They had taken this material from another Mandal on rent. Because of their first time they took very less money for that miravnuk, they paid that rent first, but it is not possible to get material on rent every time it was not affordable also and as per discussion they were not taking any financial or political help. Then they decided to meet somebody and should tell him their policies and thoughts. That guys met three to four persons. After few days one of them is ready to help us but not in cash because still we stuck to our policies (no politician, no donation and transparency in all their transactions). He gave them twenty dhols and five tashas on 1½-month credit. It was enough for them for that year, due to that they concentrated on practice at Amruteshwar and Siddheshwar ghat regularly. Pratishthan did some miravnuk in that year and paid all bills. Simultaneously Mr. Sanjay Satpute Sir (Teacher in Damle Prashala School, Gultekdi, Pune and the head of Samarth Pratishthan) and some other members registered this organization as “Samarth Pratishthan”, Pune (Reg. No: Maharashtra/1422/2000) in 2000.
Since that year Pratishthan is increasing the count of instruments as well as members. At the beginning only four members were there and this year around two hundred members are in Samarth Pratishthan now that organization has one hundred dhols, twenty five tashas, one hundred swords and shields (Dhal Talwar). Pratishthan performs in the group of minimum 20 dhols 6 to 10 tashas and 25 members in Dhal Talwar Pathak. There is no any type of exam to enter in Pratishthan, only in the premises of practice and in miravnuk or in any activity of pratishthan gutkhas, tobacco
smoking or any other
addiction are strictly not allowed. Just come to practice regularly at Siddheshwar ghat and learn all bits that's it! First two three years we perform in white Salwar Kurta and Pheta after that for consistency we got Aboli (near to orange) color Kudta, white Salwar, white Gandhi Topi, orange Shela and shoes.
