Pedro Castañeda de Nájera (c. 1512-?) was a Spanish soldier on the 1540-42 expedition of Francisco Vásquez de Coronado exploring what is now the southwestern United States. His chronicle of the expedition is lost, but a copy printed in Seville in 1596 as Relacion de la jornada de Cibola, donde se trata de aquellos poblados, y ritos, y costumbres, la qual fue el ano de 1540 is in the Obadiah Rich collection of the New York Public Library. It was translated into English
