I think the edits you have made have made the introduction more concise and easy to follow, the original article was very wordy in the introduction and kind of lost focus. I think the lead also describes the main topics of the article well and gives the reader insight on what will actually be discussed in the article. I think the reorganization and grammatical errors that you corrected make the article much more readable. I think you are on the right path for this project, especially for an article that already had so much content.
