Stuart Carvalhais High School (Escola Secundária Stuart Carvalhais in Portuguese) is located north in Massamá. The wall that limits the school perimeter, in north, is the official division between Massamá and Belas.
The school started at the beginning of the 2nd Term of the school year of 1988/89, with the name "Escola Secundária nº2 de Queluz" (Queluz High School No. 2). It was founded with the purpose of increasing the number of schools in the old parish Queluz.
In 1993, after a lot of debate, the school board proposed to de Ministry of Education the name " Stuart Carvalhais" to the school.
