I spend a lot of wiki-time on issues that need careful handling and communication (disputes, article problems, 2nd opinions, informal mediation, etc) in a supportive and balanced manner [4] [5]. I've written externally on Wikipedia recently [6]. I also work in real-life with personal, sensitive and confidential information, if that helps.

I'm active on Wikipedia:Reference desk [7] [8] [9], Neutrality Wikiproject, and Admin Coaching #1. By nature I'm supportive, and have always made time for confused, concerned or upset folks, whether to be reassured, or for good solid advice. Saying 'no' or 'enough' is also easy if required [10] [11].

I'm un-reactive to provocation and games, retain equinamity if a warrior makes threats, and routinely take on heavy duty disputes, often involving behavioral sock-evidence, as well as helping support others. Arbcom cases undertaken against persistent warriors include Ciz, HeadleyDown and socks/meats, DPeterson and socks, etc.

I do a lot of "second opinion" work [12] [13] [14] [15], and maintain a high level of transparency. This is attested to at xFD, where I routinely get positive feedback on closures from participants whose requests were declined [16] [17] [18] [19] or where the close was a demanding one [20], demonstrating an ability to say no and still gain respect for the action. I've also had an unusual number of edits and refactors of core policy pages accepted by the community. [1]

As needed, I also think outside the box, for example in the BJAODN 'Wheel war' arb case (lines 5-14, 1144 [21]), always commit to examine and put right my own misunderstandings if needed [22], and try to ensure others receive fair recognition for their actions when due [23].

  1. ^ For example: Wrote or refactored the current long-term versions of WP:ABOUT, WP:NPOV, WP:WTA, WP:GAME, WP:SPA, WP:RFC, the Admin Coaching pages, Appealing a block, as well as a number of other project page cleanups, policy amendments [1], and navigation improvements [2] [3].
