Became interested in Wikipedia after having installed ASDL to my Mac,in January 2005 My background is mechanical engineering and business administration. Spent one year at the UoM in Minneapolis in 1959/60 Been back to the States on visit, once 10 years ago when our daughter worked at the Disney World in Florida. and a couple of years before that, we visited old places in Minneapolis when my wife attended Summer School at Luther College in Decora, Iowa

- Then till I retired 10 years ago, for the Norwegian Foreign Aid Program (NORAD) - Not the NORAD Americans usually think of, but NORwegian Agency for International Development..
- During my years at NORAD, I was posted at projects and the local offices in India, Tanzania and Bangladesh.
- I have travelled to several of NORAD's African projects in Zambia, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Mozambique and Tanzania.
- I have visited Asian projects in Pakistan, India and Bangladesh
- My interests are multiple, but I do concentrate on topics like aviation in general, aircraft from the propeller age, and arctic explorers.
But often I happen to click on a link, and my interest is caught to translate the article into Norwegian and add whatever I feel might be of interest for Norwegian readers. Since being a novice on Wikipedia.
