Emery Emery (born 1963) is an American comedian, film maker and author. Emery has performed around the world, including United States, Edinburgh, Guam, and Glastonbury. In 2005, he edited critically acclaimed film, " The Aristocrats (film)". [1]

Biography

Emery was born in Anaheim and raised in Kansas City, where he dropped out of high school, attained his G.E.D. and at 18 began performing stand-up comedy in 1981 and in 1993 released a comedy album, "Purveyor of Filth" [2] He subsequently moved to Los Angeles where he began a carrer in post production. After editing " The Aristocrats (film)". [3] he produced and directed stand-up comedy special, "Jake Johannsen: I Love You" [4] which premiered on the Showtime network January 1, 2010. [5] He is a contributing author in " The Atheist's Guide to Christmas" and is one of a few American authors to have his short story published in both the British publication as well as the American version. [6] In February, 2011, Emery launched a humorous internet web show/podcast titled "Ardent Atheist with Emery Emery" [7] where celebrity guests and comedians discuss religion, atheism and skepticism.
