I'm very new to the wikipedia subculture, if I may call it that. :) I've been involved in (and obsessed with) roleplay games for five years now, and I'm thrilled to have discovered the WikiProject on that very subject. Hopefully I'll find a way to get involved. I have a lot to learn, though, about the coding and the whole system of Wiki...

I've been [trying] to write stories since I was ten or eleven. When I was twelve I wrote three chapters of a Lord of the Rings fanfiction starring Glorfindel, out of an attempt to resist the typical Legolas/Aragorn/Arwen/Faramir/Eowyn leads that seemed to permeate Lord of the Rings fanfiction. Anyways... the name Elsendor originated as the name of Glorfindel's sword (that glinted in the sunlight).
When I was fourteen the name surfaced again, this time as the name of a twelve-year-old elven prince enslaved by his enemies... some very cliche writing, but there was that name again. The same year I used the name for the first time as a screenname... frankly I've forgotten where I first used it. But Elsendor (or alternatively Elsendor14 or ElsendorSilverpen) has now found its way through councilofelrond.com, inheritanceforums.com, shurtugal.com, wikipedia, narniaweb.com, numerous email addresses, a few school accounts, gaiaonline.com, maplestory, and dozens of others I can't recall off the top of my head. It's become a bit of an obsession.
