Edward Sherrigton Leigh (born 30 June 1986) was educated at St. Paul’s Primary School in Winchester. After attending St.Paul’s primary school, Edward eventually went on to study design at Brunel University in West London. He has also served in Iraq and spent a number of years in the Territorial Army. Edward currently resides in Uxbridge but heralds from Winchester. His parents, brother and sister still reside in the historic town.

Achievements

Currently Edward has a number of achievements to his name. He has an entry in the Guinness book of records for eating 100 Weetabix biscuits in 57 minutes1. Edward considers this to be his proudest moment2, a controversial choice considering he was honored by the Queen in 2005 for services to the TA.

Army Career

Edwards’s career in the TA has been very successful; he rose quickly through the ranks and gained recognition from fellow officers for his heroic leadership in defending Karbala, Iraq. The moment that gained recognition from the Queen took place on the 29th August 2005. Edward saved a battalion of soldiers from friendly fire by waving a Union Jack that he quickly constructed by using pages from a Rupert Annual that he took with him for light reading. Edward still serves in the TA but has recently publicly stated that he intends to move on in a few years3.

Recent Work

Edwards latest quest is to find his former best friend from primary school, David Bell. Edward launched a nationwide search to find him in the summer of 2006. A web campaign was launched and a missing persons report filled. Currently David Bell has not been found.
