About me

My name is 'Sue' who takes ENGL101 class during the spring quarter. This is my third quarter at EvCC also I'm taking this class to improve my English skills. Using Wikipedia while taking this class is very interesting and I look forward to learning new knowledge through this activity.

My Wikipedia interests

I'm interested in philosophy. The meaning of philosophy is“love of wisdom”from Greek by way of Latin. ^[1] So I want to take about what I think about people's feelings and my opinion of the world. But this can be quite a sensitive issue, so I won't write in too much detail, but I want to share with people what I've read and felt or realized in my life.

Article evaluation

I have been interested in perfume for a long time. Especially, I like the perfume company ‘ Bulgari’ the most. I collect a lot of Bulgari perfumes and use them a lot for gifts, so I hoped Wikipedia would have this perfume. I visited the Bulgari(BVLGARI) article on Wikipedia, and found three aspects of it worth commenting on: history, citations, and perfume.

History

I was looking forward to the content of perfume because I knew Bulgari better as a perfume brand. However, the site had more information about the history of Bulgaria than products. Bulgari's history was divided into six stages and all of them were interesting. Bulgari has a long history since 1940, and this site is more detailed than I thought and has brands other than Bulgari.

Citations

There are many quotes on this page. The references include Bulgari's logo, relationships with other companies, and quotes, and articles about various products. Also among the quotes were sites in English as well as sites in Italian, native to Bulgaria. This allowed the site to get information not only from Americans but also from Italy. According to external sources, there were not many articles recently, but there were many sites cited by reliable sites. Therefore, it was good to look for various articles too.

Perfume

When I ask people around me about Bulgari, they talk a lot about perfume. The reason why I wanted to look for Bulgari was because of perfume. However, there was little information on the most famous watch or perfume on this page. However, if someone is interested in perfumes and watches, I think it will be a better site if someone finds and adds the data and quotes sites.

Summary

Overall, I rated this page as "good." This page is good for searching the history of the brand Bulgari and finding related sites. However, since there is little information about brand products, there is not enough information about products. I think this site is good for information other than products. I also think that adding the necessary information can make it a better site because there were enough sites where the pages as needed.
