Tagging process

The bot tags articles based on a list of categories provided by the WikiProject. On request, it can also:

  • Automatically assess articles (see below).
  • Untag another WikiProject alongside the run (useful when projects merge or change name, for example).
  • Look for articles in sub-categories, as well as the main categories.

Autoassessment process

The following autoassessments can be done on request for WikiProjects, either alongside the tagging of more articles, or on already tagged articles.

  • The bot can assess articles with a {{ stub}} template on them as stubs. It will mark these with |auto=yes for human review.
  • The bot can assess articles below a certain length as stubs. It will mark these with |auto=length for human review.
  • The bot can assess the importance of an article based on the category it is in. It will mark these with |autoi=true for human review.
  • The bot can inherit ratings from other projects. It will mark inherited ratings with |auto=inherit for human review.
  • Optionally, it can skip the marking for human review if the rating is an indisputable one (Disambig, List, FL, GA, or FA).
  • The inheriting can be done in three styles, shown in the table below.
only one rating available two or more available auto-stub/inherit conflict
liberal checkY if only a single rating is available checkY most frequent (highest when tied)
default checkY if only a single rating is available checkY if they all agree ☒N do not assess
conservative ☒N do not assess checkY if they all agree ☒N do not assess
