Welcome! First of all, please have a cup of tea and sit down. You might have arrived here by clicking a link that looked like this 'Dishita Bhowmik'. Or you might have come by some other path. Whichever way you came, welcome to my user page.
As you must have already seen, my name is Dishita. Here is my name in a few more languages:
Hindi - दिशितऻ , Bengali - দিশিতা , Arabic - ديشيته , Chinese - 迭诗达 , Japanese - ディシタ
Most probably, you have never heard of my name. It's a rare name and was still rarer when I was named. So let's learn a bit about Dishita" (as a name) first. My name originated from the ancient Indian language Sanskrit. It means Focus, focused or someone who knows the direction based on the Sanskrit word Disha meaning 'direction. This name is exclusively a girl name. If you would like to use this name, please let me know. Not because of any acknowledgement issues but rather because it would make me very happy to see someone else sharing the same name as me.

On 7 March 2020, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Winston Price, which this user recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that in 1953, American scientist Winston Price isolated the first rhinovirus, the most prevalent cause of the common cold?
I am currently patrolling recent changes, trying to clear the backlog of Category:Orphaned articles from February 2009 and then will move on to next in order. I am also trying to review a Good article nomination and working on fixing up maintenance tags of articles whose issues have been fixed and yet the templates have not been removed. I am also making random required changes to any articles I drive by.
Anyone who is reading this page and understands Wikipedia's editing policies is also welcome to help.
With thanks to
WereSpielChequers for helping me with the userboxes and to several others for little inspirations.
