I have been an employee and director of ATMOS Software Productions Pty Ltd since its founding. As public officer of the company, I can be asked questions about the history, nature and make-up of the company, but will not give opinions on it.
Likewise, my involvement in the creation of Escape Velocity Nova means that I will not offer an opinion about the product, its notability or anything of a critical nature (either for or against).
I was born David Langley Wilson Williams, in Hobart, Tasmania at the Queen Alexandra Maternity Hospital, on May 27, 1976, to Michael Langley Williams and Elizabeth Mary Williams (nee Sheedy).
I changed my first name to Dafydd some years ago, which was the intended spelling. My first name David was selected over Dafydd due to concerns about teasing at school (ie. Daffy).
I stand some 5 feet and 11 inches tall, have very dark ash-blonde hair, quite blue eyes, and am of average appearance for my celtic heritage.
I married my wife Cathryn Roberta Williams (nee Gurrin) on the 25th of November, 2006.
Our daughter, Gwyneth May Wilson Williams, was born on December the 30th, 2008.
I was educated at The Hutchins School, TAFE Tasmania (for a brief time), and the University of Tasmania.
I have a Bachelor Degree in Computing (BComp) as of 2006.
I have worked as a computing technical officer for The Friends' School, Hobart, and as an IT Helpdesk operator for UTas.
I am currently employed as a software programmer for UXC Applications Development.
My proudest accomplishment has been as the project lead at ATMOS Software Productions Pty Ltd for the Nova project, where I assisted in the creation of the computer game Escape Velocity Nova. The title has been successful beyond my wildest dreams, and has met with some small critical acclaim.
My primary goal is to assist in or direct the creation of more imaginary worlds and environments.
