Madhuvanti Pal(formerly Madhuvanti Murali Mohan, born 23 March 1992) ^[1] is an Indian classical rudra veena player and is an exponent of the Bishnupur Gharana. Madhuvanti Pal is a senior disciple of Vidushi Mita Nag of the Bishnupur Gharana. Madhuvanti Pal was born in Kolkata in 1992 in a family of teachers dating back four generations. ^[2]

Madhuvanti began her training as a vocalist, and then moved to instruments, initially on violin ^[3], eventually moving to bansuri and finally rudra veena. She has studied in the dagarbani style under Pandit Bala Chandar since 2010. ^[4] Since 2012, Madhuvanti has been studying under Vidushi Mita Nag, daughter of Pandit Manilal Nag. Studying under Pandit Rajeshekar Vyas, Madhuvanti constructed her own rudra veena. ^[5] Until November 2020, Madhuvanti studied, taught, and performed at the Dhrupad Sansthan. ^[6] Madhuvanti has appeared in several dhrupad festivals in the past few years. ^[7]
