notes about Larry Sass:

digital delivery of housing for low income families.

research is about automation of design models and fabrication during the construction process.

Lawrence (Larry) Sass Information

Larry Sass is an architectural designer, researcher, and educator of architecture. He is an Associate Professor of Architecture and Director of the Computation Group in the Department of Architecture at MIT. He leads the Design Fabrication Group where his research is focused on digital design and fabrication processes of housing.

Education

Larry Sass received a BArch from Pratt Institute in 1990. He then completed his post-professional SMArchS degree (1994) and PhD (2000) from MIT. [1]

((question... on his LinkedIn it says he received his BArch from Pratt but on MIT's website it says he received it from MIT...)

Awards & Recognition

In 2008, Sass's project "Digitally Fabricated House for New Orleans" was included in a MoMA exhibit titled "Home Delivery: Fabricating the Modern Dwelling." [2] [3]
