Cmatrix4761 is the Wikipedia username of Allen Joshua Harris (also known as @crash_matrix on Twitter).

This user is known for being an outspoken classical liberal and frequently comments on issues of #GamerGate, 3rd wave feminism, censorship and topics related to atheism.

Allen became peripherally involved with #GamerGate around September 2014, and became an active advocate of the hashtag and its principles in January 2015.

His criticisms of 3rd wave feminism usually go to either censorship or end-chain reasoning.

Though not actually atheist, Allen claims that "the underlying content of the argument does not interest me - rather the debate between atheists, theists and so-called 'agnostics' is what I find fascinating."

Involvement in #GamerGate

As seems to be the case for many advocates of the hashtag, Allen was originally a neutral observer. However, after repeated pressure by outspoken critics of #GamerGate, specifically calling for him to distance himself from the hashtag, and later labeling him as an advocate, Allen chose to officially advocate for the hashtag in January 2015. The inciting event was what he called a "blatant slant piece" by ABC Nightline in a video termed "What It Feels Like to Be a Gamergate Target" [1]

He criticized the video for being overtly biased, going so far as to engage in deliberate character assassination. Further, according to Allen:

  • The video cited no users actually associated with #GamerGate in its clips of harassing tweets and facebook comments. ABC also admitted to spinning the story when confronted by Sushilulu, one of the interviewees in the Nightline segment [2]
