Mark Balet
Mark Balet is an Ivorian reggae fusion artist, record producer and video director based out of Brooklyn, New York. Born April 24th, 1983 to military and diplomat parents, he grew up as a third-culture kid between Ivory Coast, Egypt, United States, France, England and Spain. Best known for his singles Running and Rising Son from his latest album Born to Love released by the world's leadind reggae label VP Records. Mark Balet's music is a fusion of Reggae, Afrobeat, Rock & Hip Hop. He launched his own record label Eternel Music in 2007. Formerly known as Marky, Mark Balet released his first solo album titled Eternel in 2009, collaborating with artists such as Murray Head, Specta from the french hip hop group Saïan Supa Crew & Dj Poska. He found his way to the mainstream audience with his first single Outsider published by Sony ATV / EMI Music Publishing, followed by an European tour (Le New Morning, La Scène Bastille, Heineken Hall Madrid, Oldschooltura Festival, Le Réservoir Paris, Meridian 23 NYC...).
