Westlake Academy is an open-enrollment municipality-run charter school in Westlake, Texas, USA, founded on September 2 of 2003. As of the 2010-2011 school year, it offers Kindergarten to 12th grade

History

Planning for Westlake Academy began as early as 2001. It was funded by a $12.4 million bond, which would be shared with the Westlake City Hall that was originally built on the same plot of land as the school. It's construction began in the summer of 2002, and was completed in time for the 2003-2004 school year. [1] The school would initially offer 1st to 6th grade for 196 students, [2] to expand to approximately 400 students from kindergarten to 12th grade by the 2010-2011 school year.
