During his time as a cab driver he taxed icons like: George Best( Manchester United), Francis Lee( Manchester City), Joe Corrigan(Manchester City), Malcolm Allison(Manchester City Manager), Matt Busby(Manchester United Manager), Shirley Bassey(Singer) and many others. He was a close friend of the Late Matt Monro( Singer). He sold his cab business in 1988 and came to London to start Britannia Driving School in 1993. He retired in 2006, since than his son Adam Bush has been running the business. Adam Bush is a trained accountant with a BA(Hons) from Kingston University where he studied accounting and finance.

Since Alan Bush was a boy, he noticed that his father had two pictures of two young women on their living room wall. One of the pictures was of his mother when she was a young women and the other was of an aristocratic women who resembled his mother. The other women was Frances Teresa Stuart La Belle Stewart Duchess of Richmond and Lennox -the original model for Britannia. Safe Eco-Driving

Eco-Driving measures introduced to the UK driving test [2] from 2008 require that new drivers have to show that they can drive with fuel-efficiency as well as safely. Learner Drivers are expected to know the basics of eco-driving such as accelerating and braking less harshly and changing gears sooner.

Research in the UK has shown that eco driving can save between 5 and 17 percent of fuel – and also cut emissions. The Department of Transport estimates that if all drivers followed the tips, CO2 (carbon dioxide) emissions [3] from cars could be reduced by 8 per cent – or more than 5.5 Million tonnes of CO2 (carbon dioxide) a year.
