My name is CanbekEsen. I'm a
high schoolstudent living in
New Jersey. I've spent my entire life here (unfortunately). I am an
American. My parents are
Turkish, while my grandmother and grandfather are from
Bulgaria and
Russia respectively. I was brought up speaking
Karachay-Balkar, although by the time I was four years old I had learnt my
English from
Power Rangers. My mother's side come from the
Caucasus, leading me to have
Azeri relations.
Growing up, I wanted to become a
police officer. I don't remember what exactly deterred my path, but I had become infatuated with sports. I started to root for the
Green Bay Packers mostly due to
Brett Favre. I played some
basketball for fun, but I never got into
recreational teams. I was a quiet supporter of my favorite soccer club
Fenerbahçe S.K. my whole life up until
Turkey qualified for the
2002 FIFA World Cup. I started to support them strongly and became a huge fan of soccer. I still play the game today, sparringly.
