Moviestorm is real-time 3D animation software published by Short Fuze. The software is aimed at the 14-25 age group, and enables the user to create animated movies, using machinima technology. It takes the user from initial concept to finished, distributed movies. Sets and characters can be created and customised, and scenes can be filmed using multiple cameras. The base engine is available as a free download on the software's website, bundled with some free content (characters, props, sets, animations, etc). Additional content can also be bought from the website's content store.

The software's website features a Web 2.0 social media service, which includes a video hosting service, and an online community where movie-makers can talk about their movies, find collaborators, and organise online events.

Moviestorm has been generally available since August 2008 and Short Fuze estimates there are already 14,000 people using the software. However, a review on the Microfilmmaker Magazine website commented that Moviestorm was 'not very intuitive', and that 'menus and categories are not well named or labeled'.
