Hidey Ho!

Hello, I'm Bitweird. I'm a soon-to-be College student (as in two weeks time) in England. I partake an interest in ancient cultures - written languages, mythology, et cetera - modern technology and software, Science-Fiction, and the lust for knowledge. I have been browsing and editing Wikipedia for a while now but never joined for the reason I didn't need to. Although, it's now getting to the point where it should have a name next to the edit, therefore a name to blame.

To expand on the above description, my ancient interests lies in the Middle Ages ( King Arthur, Merlin and all), Ancient civilisations such as the Egyptian, Greek, Mayan and so on, the mythos which surrounds these cultures and the written language. As for software, I like programs that are simple, easy to get used to and, of course, free. 'Simple and easy to use' not because I'm inept in using a keyboard and mouse but because I hold strongly that computer programs should be easy for any user. I also have a fascination with punctuation and their origins so that may appear prominently here and there. Wait...there's a symbols repository at the bottom here, maybe that should be hidden from me.

I'm an avid fan of Stargate SG-1 (haven't seen enough of Atlantis to make my mind up on that), Doctor Who, Farscape, Star Wars and Star Trek: Voyager. It's a shame and a pity that they've cancelled the television series' of the first two of the paragraph, although looking forward to the films of SG. Comedies, CSI, NCIS and other shows rank highly with me, too, as well as the Tomb Raider series.

As for my Wikipedia life as an actual user, I will mostly be correcting grammatical and spelling errors, which has been made decidedly more easy with Firefox, and I will take into consideration the American and British English spelling differences and so on, and will not be biased towards my native written word or the opinions of others. Vandalism and clear disrespect to articles are unforgivable and serve only to irritate and not to inform.

If all this sounds too serious and formal, not to worry as I do have my zany and down-right weird moments. Yib yib yu may feature from time to time. More stuff will be added as userboxes as I'm tired of typing now...and that's another thing, I write too much for what's actually needed.
