ASHLEYlauren is a fashion house focusing on the prom, evening wear, and pageant markets. ^[1] The designs include cocktail, homecoming, prom, pageants, evening, mother of the bride, and bridal dresses. ^[2] The dresses are sold in boutiques across the United States, Central and South America, Asia, Australia and the Middle East. ^[3]

ASHLEYlauren was launched in 2011 in Scarborough, Maine ^[4]. The company also owns a showroom at the AmericasMart in Atlanta, Georgia. ^[5]

CEO and designer of ASHLEYlauren, Ashley Lauren Kerr, graduated from Stetson University ^[6] in 2007 with a degree in Communications and a minor in Marketing. She has judged the Miss Venezuela pageant in 2010 and has coached contestants for the Miss Maine USA pageant and the Miss Bahamas pageant. ^[7] She worked alongside lifestyle coach, Grace Fontecha to prepare contestants for upcoming pageants. ^{[8] [9]}

Celebrities including, Ariadna Gutierrez, Eva Longoria, Shanda Rogers, Natalie Halcro, Clarissa Molina, Lucero, Shaila Durcal, Lupita Jones, Celeste Marshall and Chiquinquira Delgado have worn ASHLEYlauren dresses. ^[12] ASHLEYlauren dresses have appeared on multiple pageant stages including Miss Bahamas and Miss Brazil. The dresses have also appeared on Nuestra Belleza Latina when Ashley Lauren Kerr was a judge on the show.

National Dress Day was founded in October of 2016 by ASHLEYLauren. ^[13] The day was created to recognize and honor the significance of dresses worn by women every year on March 6th. ^{[14] [15] [16]} Ashley Lauren Kerr is quoted saying, “ I remember the dresses I wore to my prom, first job interview, first date, competing in a pageant, my first red carpet event, the list goes on,” she says, “This is a fun day to cherish and celebrate those memories.” ^[17] The day is meant to empower women and to celebrate the beauty of dresses and femininity. ^[18] Ashley Lauren Kerr said, “I have fond memories wearing dresses and I realized that dresses hold such powerful emotions for women.” ^[19] Followers are encouraged to post on Instagram a photo wearing a dress that holds meaning to them using the hashtag #nationaldressday.
