Europa Universalis: The Price of Power is a grand strategy board game set during the Early modern period created by Eivind Vetlesen and published by Aegir Games. Initially launched as a Kickstarter campaign on the 18th of October 2019, it received over 5,159,190 kr against the 275,000 kr initially set for the campaign, and released to backers in January of 2023. Description

Modeled on the Europa Universalis IV video game (itself derivative of the original Europa Universalis board game), the game is set from the beginning of the Renaissance to the beginning of the French Revolution. The game is designed for up to 4 (or 6, if using the expansion) as outlined in the manual, with optional manual "bot" support. Said players each control one of the playable nations vying for power as they attempt to grow their empire while simultaneously subduing their opponents. [2]
