A. Venkat Rao is a distinguished citizen of the country of India and a retired police officer. He hails from the State of Andhra Pradesh. The north-western portion of Andhra Pradesh was bifurcated to form a new State of Telangana on June 2nd, 2014. His police career started on 16th February, 1959, in the Andhra Pradesh State Police as a Deputy Superintendent of Police. (See State Police Services).
During his 40 years of exhalting police career, he worked in various State police departments such as the Anti Corruption Bureau ( ACB), Intelligence, Police Academy, Communications, Lokayukta and was also with India's Central Bureau of Investigation ( CBI) on depuration.
