Johnny Kobra is a Swedish born singer, guitarist, song-writer and producer based in Los Angeles, California. Released the debut album "The Smell Of Rock And Roll" in 2006.
Johnny Kobra was born and raised in Sweden, where he toured and appeared on TV, Radio, Stockholm Water Festival etc. in various bands as a guitar player/backup vocalist, most notably with Syndicate Rag (ft. vocalist Andreas Johnson) and Zircus (ft. Slim Pete, Leif Sundin) Currently based in Los Angeles, CA. The debut album titled "The Smell Of Rock And Roll" in 2006, displays catchy tunes, cut with a rustic edge, sprinkled with spicy blues-dust, but there is a lot more to it than most catch on a first listen.
The follow-up, simply titled "EP" was released on May 25, 2010. EP displays a more mature / refined sound, perhaps, than the debut, but there's no doubt it's the authentic classic Johnny Kobra sound with layered guitars and generous use of counterpoint and harmony lines, something not often heard in modern rock elsewhere.
