Allen Jerome Speller was born in September 1, 1987, in Waterloo, Iowa [2] to a very well rounded family. He grew up in his family church playing the percussion and writing poetry for holiday events. At the age of two years old he began to listen to rap music and record on a fisher-Price karaoke toy reciting all his favorite musicians. By the age of seven years old he was freestyling and making mixtapes for his family. He attended Waterloo East High School [2] in Waterloo, Iowa [2] where he was a member of the school band and also began to make music on a serious level, performing in talent shows and school events he began to stand out from his peers. He Graduated in (2005) and went on to attend Kirkwood Community College in [[Cedar Rapids, Iowa}]] majoring in Business Administration. With his love for music taking over his day to day life he dropped out and became a full time artist.
His style ranges from rap to pop music using a catchy and cleaver freeflow or free style method of recording. He has released his latest mixtape titled “I’m Suppose To Be Here” [7]and is currently working on four separate mixtapes and his first solo album. [9] He also has numerous collaboration projects with other artist throughout the United States. A-Spell’s first digital release in March 2011 has been a major step in his career. He is also in the process of booking shows locally and around the Midwest to build his support/fan base. His consistence of being out in the community handing out music and putting together shows/events for himself and other local artists has moved him to the being one of the top artist in his area. With-in just a few years he has headlined shows with Twista, tyga, wale, DMX, Yung Joc, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, V.I.C., Young Buck, [10] XV, lil Twist, YG, and many more.
