XXX won two 100 yards titles (1935, 1939) and two 220 yards titles (1936, 1937) at the prestigious AAA Championships. [2]

XXX represented England at the 1938 Empire Games he won the gold medal in the 100 yards contest and in the 220 yards event. He was also a member of the English relay team which won the gold medal in the 4×110 yards competition. [3] [4]
