Bowmark Capital, the private equity firm, makes investments in UK growth companies valued at up to £150m. [1] Bowmark invests across a range of industries with a focus on business and financial services, consumer and leisure, education and training, healthcare, media and technology. [2]

The London-based firm has £850m under management [3] and its investor base includes public pension funds, insurance companies and banks based in the US, the UK and elsewhere in Europe. [4]

Bowmark's investments have included: Leaders Lettings and Romans, two property services companies which were merged into a single entity in March 2016; [5] Autodata, the automotive technical information provider; [6] CARE Fertility, Britain's largest chain of fertility clinics; [7] Drake & Morgan, the London-based bar and restaurant group; [8] Aston Scott, the insurance broker; [9] Oxford International Education Group; [10] Kisimul, which provides services to children affected by learning disabilities; [11]Law Business Research; [12] CSL DualCom, which provides technology for burglar alarms; [13] Nexus Vehicle Solutions, a rental vehicle broker; [14] elderly care provider, Healthcare Homes; [15] JacTravel, the B2B hotel accommodation wholesaler; [16] Regard, a UK residential care provider for people with learning difficulties; [17] securities data provider, Data Explorers; [18] Education & Adventure Travel Group; [19] Advanced Childcare, which provides care and education to young people with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties; [20] Living Ventures, the restaurant and bar group; [21] Medscreen, which provides drug and alcohol testing services; [22] Datix, the healthcare software provider; [23]RDF Media, the UK television production company; [24] iPrism, the underwriting agency; [25] and Las Iguanas, the Latin American dining chain. The firm is currently investing Bowmark Capital Partners V, a £375m fund, which was raised at the end of 2013. The fund was predominantly backed by existing investors and was oversubscribed, [27] in common with its prior fund, Bowmark Capital Partners IV, a £265m vehicle raised in 2008. [28] The previous fund, Bowmark Capital Partners III, raised in 2004, is reported to have generated a return of approximately 4x money to its investors. [29]

The Bowmark team, led by managing partners Charles Ind and Kevin Grassby, was originally established as Sagitta Private Equity in 1997 and spun out of Sagitta group in 2004. [30]
