Prowl Shoes is a footwear brand owned by Guillaume Proulx. Prowl shoes are designed for fitness, cross fit training, bodybuilding, and powerlifting. These shoes provide top quality performance, agility and comfort. Prowl shoes strives to deliver more than expected by its customers. History
Prowl Shoes brand was started by Guillaume Proulx [1] on 25th August 2017. Proulx belonged to skating and bodybuilding, so he was well aware that cushioning, support and comfort of foot plays a key role in different type of sports. He was always fascinated by designing and he loved to draw, he though designing of shoes as a form of art [2].
Proulx started skateboarding when he was a teenager and then he realized the importance of shoes for sports, that’s where the passion for shoes designing became stronger. Being a sportsmen, Proulx strongly believed that in sports everything comes from the feet. He wished of designing shoes that provide comfort to the foot of sportsmen and also help them to be more productive in sports. This inspired him to create his own shoes brand.
Name
Name of brand came from misspellings of last name of owner Guillaume Proulx when he was competing for body building in USA. The letter ‘U’ replaced by ‘W’ and last ‘X’ removed, from here came the name of brand PROWL [3].
Design
The Prowl shoes designs provides a high balance foot bed to create better control, comfort and support. They have many futuristic and sleek designs that provide top quality performance during most rigorous exercises and workouts.
Many designs are built strong for high weight lifting trainings and are flexible enough to take lifters through every step of their workout. Some shoes are designed as a mix of street wear and gym lifestyle. Such designs are very comfortable for low impact workouts.
GPRO Hybrid
First shoe designed in June 2017 was GPRO hybrid. It was a hybrid lifting shoe. The basic aim of this design was to create a mid-high shoe to be polyvalent in fitness. It is built strong enough for any weight lifting training. This shoe was specially designed for the power lifters, body builders and Olympic weightlifters.
SPIRIT hightop
Second shoe designed in October 2018 was SPIRIT hightop. It was designed as a gym shoe which can also be worn in streets. The design was sleek to fit like glove and give better performance during workouts. It was an all-round gym shoe and its target were the normal people who like trendy hightop designs.
After these a variety of specialized shoes have been created by Prowl Shoes. It provides wide range of sports shoes. You can also create your own shoe by describing the specifications you want by Prowl shoes.
Customized Shoes
According to Proulx, there are many platforms to get customized t-shirts and caps but no one was yet offering it for shoes. With Prowl it is possible to customize its different models in the effigy of an athlete, a sports team or a company according to their choice.
People can get their customized shoes with their wanted features by giving a small fee [4].
Marketing
Prowl strives to provide high consumer brand loyalty. Target market for Prowl is mainly the people related to sports. Prowl has online store and it delivers shoes worldwide but it has few deposit points in specific places like gyms. In 12 months, Prowl has sold about 300 pairs, not only in the province, but also in Western Canada and even the United States [5].
It is looking forward for promotions by sponsorship agreements with professional sports teams and athletes.
Affiliate program
Prowl has also launched its affiliate program which is free and it enables its members to earn revenue by placing links on their websites which advertises Prowl or products on it. Any sales made to customers who have clicked on those links will earn affiliate commission.
