• Last king before Europeans. Ruled 1865–1895. Transformed monarchy. Centralised power by appointing "delegates" who answered only to him, not to the traditional "aristochratic lineages". ^[1]

Lineage

• Rwabugiri was the son of Nkoronko, Rwogera's younger brother. ^[2]
• Nkoronko was the brother (by same father and mother) of Rwogera, and Rwabugiri's uncle ^[3]
