Prior to participating in this season's Survivor - Parvati assisted some fellow boxers to create a non-profit organization titled "Knockouts for Girls," a charity that provides scholarships and boxing lessons for underprivileged girls. The organization recently held their first fundraising event in the fall of 2007. It included boxing matches and a fashion show and was considered a success.
Parvati's only "major" musical accomplishment was being cast as one of the fairy godmothers in her Middle School's production of Sleeping Beauty.
Parvati Shallow's family still resides in Georgia. Her parents, Michael and Gale Shallow, have been married for 27 years. She has one sister, Sodashi, who is two years younger than her and a brother, Kaelan.
Parvati is avidly dedicated to physical fitness. Although she no longer boxes, she is an accomplished runner, and is currently training for her first Sprint Triathlon.
She is an accomplished traveler as well and has visited many countries outside of the United States. She spent 6 weeks traveling in Europe, and another 3 months as part of a french language intensive program in Quebec City in Canada.

Parvati Shallow graduated from the University of Georgia with Honors in 2004, from the school of Journalism specializing in Public Relations. She minored in French and Italian. She received the Hope Scholarship all four years that she attended the University of Georgia.
Parvati was a member of the AOPI Sorority while a student at the University of Georgia.
She attended Sprayberry High School in Marietta, Georgia from 1996 to 2000. She served for three years as part of the Student Government Association for her class as the Class Chaplain. She was a member of the swim team and track team as well and was voted "Most Friendly" by the senior class in the year 2000. She was elected to Homecoming Court twice while at Sprayberry.
