Rebekah Cilia (ɹɪbˈɛkə tʃ’ɪliə) (born 25th September 1987) is a Maltese engineer and a political candidate for the Maltese general elections, on the Partit Nazzjonalista ticket [1].

Studies and Professional Career

Cilia obtained a degree in engineering in 2007 from the University of Sheffield. She then continued her studies in engineering, obtaining a Master from the University of Oxford. She was awarded the Medtronic Scholarship for demonstrating exceptional talent and promise in the field of biomedical engineering. Cilia then read for a postgraduate diploma in building services engineering.

While working as an engineer [2], Cilia proceeded to study for a Diploma in Journalism at the University of Malta. During the course of her studies, Cilia also worked with a local independent newspaper.

Politics

In 2020, Cilia was elected to the Nationalist Party (Malta)'s Executive Committee as a representative of the Forum Opportunitajiet Indaqs Partit Nazzjonalista – FOIPN, of which she is also Vice-President. [3] [4]

Cilia has also put her name forward as a candidate for the upcoming general election. [5] [6] [7]
