I saw your question on his talk page. Yes, generally we give people 4 warnings, and different people have different opinions on this. But in this case, it's clear (to me) that the account was only created for a vandalism spree. Edits were vandalism, not test edits, and there is a vandalism page he created that I deleted that you can't see. Used my judgement. Perhaps there's a 0.5% chance he can reform. If so, he'll ask for an unblock. If he does, I'll give him the option of using {{ second chance}}. But there's no sense (in my opinion, other people differ) to wait until he's had 15 minutes of disruption before we give him a strong hint that he can't keep it up. -- barneca ( talk) 15:53, 2 September 2008 (UTC)
You know you can write something out as a page, but have it say something else? I saw you on a discussion page (this one), where you wrote your name out as User:Agent008. You just have to put a "|" sign after the page then you can write whatever you want after it. I'm sure that was an old talk page, and you didn't know then, but I'm just making sure. The cow says MOO!!!
Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content, as you did to User:BJBot. Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalized, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. Rmosler | ● 12:54, 27 June 2009 (UTC)
Hey there Agent008, thank you for your contributions. I am a
bot, alerting you that
non-free files are
not allowed in user or talk space. I
removed some files I found on
User:Agent008/Agent008's Personal SandBox. In the future, please refrain from adding fair-use files to your
user-space drafts or your
talk page.
Thank you, -- DASHBot ( talk) 05:01, 4 September 2010 (UTC)
Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled. On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (
consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true
. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false
in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.
For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note. Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot ( talk) 21:07, 14 March 2011 (UTC)
