Caius Domitius Veivovis, born Roy C. Gutfinksi, Jr. (b. 1980), is an American convicted murderer and kidnapper. A self-proclaimed devil worshiper and vampire, Veiovis was raised in Pittston, Maine, and exhibited numerous behavioral problems during adolescence. At age 20, he was convicted of elevated aggravated assault in Augusta, Maine, in 2000, after his girlfriend, in August 1999, cut a 16-year-old girl in the back during a vampiric ritual. He then served 7 1/2 years of a 10 year sentence in prison. He legally changed his name from Roy C. Gutfinksi to Caius Domitius Veiovis in 2008. In 2011, Veiovis, now a resident of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, was arrested upon suspicion of his aiding Hell's Angels member Adam Lee Hall in murdering three witnesses scheduled to testify against Hall. Upon his arrest, his mug shot became an international sensation. With extensive facial piercings and horn implants, and the number 666, Veiovis's mug shot was dubbed "the scariest ever" by several publications, with the Berkshire Eagle reporting that publications "from Brazil to Belgium to Slovakia" highlighting the pictures. On September 26, 2014, Veiovis was convicted of first degree murder, kidnapping, and witness intimidation, at Hampden County Superior Court. He was sentenced on September 29, 2014, to three consecutive terms of life imprisonment without parole.
