Benjamin Gal-Or (born 1933) is an engineer-scientist-philosopher who has "influnced the direction of fighter aircraft design."[1] by introducing, since 1987, the first complete thrust vectoring flight control for stealth-tailless, blended-wing-body, manned and unmanned air vehicles [2,3]. He had also established the "Astrophysical School of Thermodynamics and Time Asymmetries"[4]. As former Professor at Johns Hopkins and Pittsburgh Universities [1964-1968], he advanced the field of research in drop and bubble fluid dynamics and chemical reactions. Then moving to the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology [TIIT], he contributed to education in philosophy of science and new methodologies in the design and flight testing of new jet steered air, sea and land super-agile vehicles. These efforts were conducted there as he was a professor [1968-2001] and first director [1976] of the Institute of Advanced Studies and head of the Turbo and Jet Engines Laboratory from 1972 to 1999. Re-education of engine engineers to pioneer research and developmengt works in the new field of jet steering flight control and air safety has been further advanced as editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Turbo & Jet Engines, which is currently published by DeGruyter, Germany.
