Tujerdi Rural District ( Persian: دهستان توجردئ) [3] is in Tujerdi District of Sarchehan County, Fars province, Iran. [4] It is administered from the city of Tujerdi. [5]

Demographics

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population (as a part of the former Sarchehan District of Bavanat County) was 1,496 in 1,496 households. [6] There were 7,626 inhabitants in 2,076 households at the following census of 2011. [7] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 7,337 in 2,224 households. The most populous of its 40 villages was Tujerdi (now a city), [8] with 2,021 people. [2]

After the census, Sarchehan District was separated from Bavanat County in the establishment of Sarchehan County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with the city of Korehi [a] as its capital. [9] Tujerdi Rural District was separated from the Central District to establish Tujerdi District, which was divided into two rural districts including the new Marvashkan Rural District. [4]
