As of the 2021 census, Trnovo had 137 residents with the following ethnic composition: [1]
According to the 2002 census, the village had a total of 539 inhabitants. [2] Ethnic groups in the village include: [2]
According to the 1942 Albanian census, Trnovo was inhabited by 888 Muslim Albanians. [3]
The village is attested in the 1467/68 Ottoman tax registry (defter) for the Nahiyah of Kırçova. The village had a total of 16 houses, excluding bachelors (mucerred). [4]
