Told You So peaked at number 121 on the Billboard 200 and number 31 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. [4] [5] The album's lead single, "It's a Fact", reached number 62 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart.
Coming off her successful debut for Interscope, Sparkle began to have creative differences with her former mentor and the album's producer, R. Kelly.
