Time of the Zombies was a
two-LPcompilation album of music by the British band
The Zombies, released in 1973 in the UK and 1974 in the US.[1] Side 1 features tracks preceding their April 1968 album Odessey and Oracle, side 2 features tracks recorded in 1969 for a planned last album named R.I.P., which was not released until 2000 (some of these were unreleased at the time while some had previously appeared as single A or B-sides),[2] and sides 3 and 4 are the whole of Odessey and Oracle.[3] It was released on Epic Records[4] several years after the group had disbanded.[2]
Paul Weller stated in an interview with
BBC Radio 4 in December 2012 that this compilation was how he first heard Odessey and Oracle, his favourite album of all time.[5]
