Thomas P. Powell (16 April 1892 – 20 June 1971) was an Irish politician. A national schoolteacher, he was first elected to Dáil Éireann as a Fianna Fáil Teachta Dála (TD) for the Galway constituency at the June 1927 general election. [1] He was re-elected at the September 1927 and 1932 general elections. [2] He lost his seat at the 1933 general election. [2] He stood unsuccessfully as an independent candidate at the 1961 general election for the Galway West constituency. [2]
