The Thaheem (sometimes spelled "Thahim" or "Tahim") is a historical tribe and surname present in the western plains of Punjab, Pakistan, mainly in Multan and Chiniot as well as in parts of Sindh like Jacobabad, Thatta and Sujawal. [1] [2] Their most prominent member was Saadullah Khan of Chiniot, a place where they still hold land. [3]

Origion

The exact origins of the Thaheem tribe in Pakistan are not entirely clear, but there are some sources that suggest possibilities linking them to Arab tribe Banu Tamim. Many suggest Thaheem tribe in Pakistan came around 7th century from Arabian Penensula with early settlers in Sindh and Baluchistan provinces of modern day Pakistan.

Jatt caste connection

Some sources link the Thaheem tribe to the Jatt caste, a prominent agricultural community in Pakistan. This theory suggests a possible Central Asian origin for the tribe.

Historical presence.

There's evidence of the Thaheem tribe's presence in the western plains of Punjab, particularly in Multan and Chiniot, for centuries. This suggests a long history within the region.

More research is needed to definitively determine the Thaheem tribe's origins.
