doesn't output an edit link when transcluded? A series of helpful links do appear at

After checking that no such developments appear to be forthcoming, I have made what I hope can be a compromise edit. The instruction is at the end, not at the beginning. It is, however, part of the main bullet list, and not small text tucked away where it is easily missed. I have also restored the convenient direct links (thru the {{
lts}}
template, which provides edit*talk*links*history links; at least the crucial edit link is there, allowing you to finally edit the documentation right from
Template:Uw-coi or wherever you are when you can't figure out how to access the text you see on-screen. Feel free to switch to a better template if there's a better way of accomplishing this).
